Gruber A/S develops and manufactures rubber lining machinery for seals used on vials for insulin. The capacity exceeds 1,000 lined and vision approved caps per minute. Today’s machines are extremely compact due to the expensive space in cleanroom production facilities. Imagine an output of 65,000 lined and triple-vision controlled capsules per hour – occupying less than 4 square meters. Noise has been reduced to less than 68 decibels which is comparable to the noise generated from an average kitchen dishwasher. Pre-lined caps are mainly used for the compact vial inside insulin pens. Franz Gruber developed his first rubber lining machine for Novo Nordisk and has been a leader in this narrow niche ever since.
