John Berg is managing director of Nordic Mast A/S having specialized in the development and production of lightweight masts, booms, and rigging of carbon fibre. Today Nordic Mast is one of the worlds leading producers within this product area. The company was founded 1989 and has 42 employees.
“We enjoy a close cooperation with Poul Bek and his staff, and we find the cooperation most inspiring and constructive” says John Berg. “Very often we cooperate with Gruber in the early phase when we have just started up developing new products” he explains and goes on: “We get a lot of funny ideas and need a partner to come up with constructive, professional guidance. We ourselves do not have the ability to develop tools so the dialogue with Gruber is of great importance to us.”
During recent years Gruber A/S has solved a lot of development tasks for Nordic Mast, particularly in connection with product design where new components are needed. As en example the two companies cooperate in developing new tools for the production of product variants.
John Berg is most satisfied with the cooperation and says: “Poul Bek is providing unique help when the task is to find the quickest possible way from A to B. I have made the experience that 2 plus 2 may be 6 or even 7 when you have the right partner.”
