The company

Gruber A/S was founded in 1978 by Franz Gruber, who was educated in Switzerland. At the beginning the company concentrated on the manufacture of cutting and punching tools, but soon Gruber and his staff enlarged the activities and started up the development and production of tools and special machines.
There were in a few years built a solid expertise in the manufacture of customer specific solutions, initially primarily to companies in the pharmaceutical industry.

 

Strong competences

In 2009 Fraefel Værktøjsfabrik A/S was integrated in Gruber A/S. Fraefel Værktøjsfabrik have strong skills in the production of tools, CAD/CAM engineering and metal processing. Fraefel Værktøjsfabrik has long experience in development and manufacture of moulds for the plastics industry. The two companies have collaborated for many years before the merger.

They complement each other's competences and form together a unique experience center for the development and manufacture of tools, machines, and metal components.

 

An innovative production environment

Gruber A/S has established unique development and production facilities in Haderslev.

The engineering and design department employs five persons having at their disposal equipment and resources for the handling of development and production tasks of considerable volume.

Gruber A/S is most interested in cooperating with other producers in developing and producing special tools and machines for major projects.

 

Perfeckt physical working environment

Including the new extension from 2009, the production area is now 1,500 m2. This means better working conditions for the development department as well as for the engineering and production departments. An air-conditioning system ensures that the entire production area has a constant temperature of 20oC contributing to a very high level of precision and accuracy of measurement when making components, tool and machines. The uncompromising demands as to accuracy ensure longer durability providing lower expenses for maintenance of machines etc.

 

Gruber A/S is authorized to produce special purpose machines and production facilities meeting the requests of the American health authorities, FDA, Food and Drug Administration.

 

From  supplier to partner

The machines are designed and constructed from scratch, based on the requirements and specifications of the customers e.g. advanced lining machines for containers for pharmaceutical products. The machines are designed so that they can mount the metal lid and the rubber membrane in one operation. Gruber A/S also develops special machines for the handling and feeding of components, e.g. machines for centrifugal feeding of various parts being used for the packing of pharmaceutical products.

Thanks to this Gruber A/S has become a key supplier and sparring partner of a number of leading companies especially within the pharmaceutical industry, and today Gruber A/S is extensively engaged in developing prototypes and unique solutions for specific production purposes.
